Across Kentucky and other states, rick houses hold more aging whiskey than the market can drink. Barrel after barrel, season after season — far more than any one distillery will ever bottle under its own name.
Great River was founded by three bourbon-obsessed friends tired of watching the good stuff stay locked up in that current, either impossible to find, or priced like it was. Between deep industry connections, a relentlessly trained palate, and a refusal to settle for "good enough," we wade into that surplus ourselves, hand-selecting barrels most people will never taste, and bottle them at a price that actually makes sense.
No barrel we pull from the river is the same as the last, each release is unique. Every bottle is agreed on by all three of us, together.
